Lauren is two weeks old!

Lauren is two weeks old today! She went to the doctor and she weighs in now at 7lbs and 1.5 oz. She is 20.5 in long. She is a total sweetie and sleeps well, for the most part. She has a fussy period right in the middle of the night, so that has been fun! My mom was a great help while she was here and we definitely miss her. Grandpa Cavin joined us for a few days and that was fun as well.

Baby Showers Galore

Just had a couple of great showers. The first was thrown by hostess extraordinaire Marcela at her house for all of my friends and mom/MIL's friends. It was great and the cupcakes/decor/etc were awesome. The second was at work, hosted by Laura and Jill last week. They did an beatiful job on the cake/decor- so classy!I got some great items that completed my bunny meadow nursery as well as many cute clothes and an exersaucer! I will post pic of nursery after we get some stencils on the walls...Here are pics of the showers.

So! It's a girl :) We were very excited to find out that we are having a girl. We do have a few names picked out, but decided to keep the final name a secret until she is born. We have been working on the house, trying to start getting the room ready and all. Still have the hot summer to go, but I really can't wait for the arrival!

Yay! We're Pregnant

so...here is my first day of blogging.....I am now about 10 weeks pregnant and can I just say that I cannot wait until the first trimester is over!! Feeling nauseous every day is NOT fun. Especially while trying to work. We did have our first Ultrasound at about 7 weeks and got to see/hear the heartbeat- so cool. It really started to sink in that we were going to have an extra living human in our household in the not too distant future.
